Bike Race
Facet Cycling is excited to offer the first of a five race point series at Pocono Raceway during our Mother’s Day Bike-a-thon. These races consist of USAC sanctioned races as well as Youth development races. Our goal in North East Pennsylvania is to promote healthy living, community involvement and to develop the sport of cycling from the bottom up. You will always find the youth events scheduled close to the feature Pro-Am races. This allows the kids the opportunity to participate in front of a crowd and stay for an amazing display of athleticism as the pros take the stage.
If you are an adult interested in racing, you can sign up for the category 4/5 race. This is the beginner’s class. Since these are mass start races you will need a bike that has standard ten-speed style handle bars and no arrow bar attachments (Like triathletes use, no elbow rests). Also a suitable helmet. I encourage everyone who rides to give racing a try. Who knows where it will take you!
