Mother’s Day Bike-a-thon at Pocono Raceway

Ride up to Six Hours! Set a goal, register, and ask sponsors to donate 100% directly to their charity of choice! What an exciting day for everyone! Especially the kids! Every child loves riding their bikes and every child loves race cars. Let them loose on one of America’s premier NASCAR long tracks! -all in a safe and exciting venue, closed to motor vehicle traffic! Mothers Day Brunch! We didn’t forget! The Pocono Raceways exclusive food service, Mountain Concessions, will be offering a traditional Mothers Day Brunch and other desirable concessions throughout the day. Also there will be a Bike Race! How about a full day of Pro-Am Bicycle Racing unfolding right before your eyes as you pedal down the back straight! Pocono Raceway will be playing host to race #1 of the NEPA Pro-Am Cycling Series all for your entertainment. This is the first of a five race point series in Northeastern Pa. Can you match their speeds?

2 Great Prizes!

  • Most funds raised by an individual will win a Pocono 500 weekend including 2 VIP passes and Honorary Pit Crew for Chase Mattioli in the Messina Wildlife Animal Stopper 200!
  • Most raised by a youth 18 and under will win a brand new Cannondale Racing Bike courtesy of Sickler’s Bike Shops. (One prize per person)

What

  1. The Bike A Thon is the main event of the day, A Bike A Thon, is a fundraiser where your friends and family i.e “sponsors” sponsor you to participate in an event and raise money for a charity on your behalf.
  2. There is also a bicycle race, NEPAcycling Pro-Am races,
    1. Pro-Am bike race.
    2. And within that race there is a kids bicycle race for ages 18 and under, called the Jack William Tire Youth Races
  3. Mother’s Day Brunch
  4. Also, meet ACRA professional stock car driver Nick Igdalsky along with the Pocono Raceway Chevy Pace Car!

  • Date: May 9, 2010
  • Times:Registration: 6:30am – 12pmOfficial Start: 8am -Allowing for flexible arrival and departure.Official Finish: 2pm followed by awards and Pro-Am Bike Race.

How to participate in Bike A Thon

  1. Register Online at BikeReg.com
  2. Download sponsor packet
  3. If you’re registering as group download additional release form
  4. Get sponsors, raise money
  5. Bring packet and money to event.
  6. Enjoy the day!

Age Groups

Age Reduced Reg. Fee Minimum Donation/ Eligibility for Prizes
Adults $30 $50           /           $150 for Prizes
11-18 $20 $50           /           $150 for Prizes
Under 10 $15 $50           /           $150 for Prizes
Family (up to 4) $80 $150         /           $250 for Prizes

If you raise $150 or more you’re elibgle for door prizes, of course we’d like to raise as much as possible,

but we require that you raise at least $50 minimum to particpate.

Requirments

  1. ANSI or SNELL approved helmet and a safe bike with functional brakes are required.
  2. All ages and abilities welcome
